Dance Theater of Harlem Performance, Spring 2001
RUAP has collaborated with its host institute for Music and Performing Arts since the project’s inception to bring high-level performance experiences to the community youth served within RUAP. This is part of one of the four major outcomes of RUAP to enhance accessibility to and awareness of the arts and arts education.

RUAP co-sponsored the January 2001 Dance Theater of Harlem exhibition at the World Theater and brought three groups of community youth to this stellar performance experience. Youth from the YMCA Teen Club, the Monterey Museum Art Ambassador Program, and Sisters for Action received complimentary admission, seating, and transportation. As with all RUAP sponsored events, these services insure that no barrier of cost or access issue will limit our community youth from attendance.
